EPDM membrane on left and roof detai | "Deck Armor" (blue layer)"Deck Armor" by GAF is a brethable tear resistant roof underlayment. It is better than using tar paper (traditionally used under roof shingles). Any water that gets under the side of roof tiles will make its way down the deck armor. |
"Grace" membrane (black layer)"Grace" membrane is a peel-and-stick ice shield that has been stuck to the rubber roof extending up the higher slope roof. Its self-sealing nature helps prevents leaks from melting ice, which finds its way up the roof and trickles down nail penetrations. It is also used to attach the deck armor to the aluminum gutters. | Shingles layered over deck armor and membrane, next to gutter |
New EPDM for flat roofThis is where solar panels will be installed. | New asphalt shingles on sloped roof |
